Abstract		Continuous improvement in quality of health care is one of the main goals in all the European Union countries. For this purpose development of monitoring and control systems in all different segments of health care is of great importanee. This means that also in Physical Therapy, Quality Standards should be defined, as a base for monitoring the quality of the service. The article wants to indicate what quality of health care depends on and why the system for monitoring the quality is so important.
