Abstract		Organisation and work of Infection Control Committee in the regional hospital of Murska Sobota is presented. Its work covers several fields, e.g. education about hospital infections, control and improvement of hospital hygiene practices, prevention and control of multiply resistant bacteria (especially methicillin-resistant StaphyloCOCCUS aureus), prevention and procedures in case of injuries with needtes and other sharp objects. Plans for the future work are discussed.
