Abstract		The concept of "occupation" in the processs of occupational therapy stands for a unique and identifiable medium in the treatment of clients. Occupational science has, in the world at large, been increasingly adopted due to its pursuit of an in-depth study of man's occupation. The paper deals with an analysis of the notion "occupation" and its applicability in the circumstances characteristic of Slovenia, while also proceeding from the author's long-year experiences relating to the linkage between theory and transfer of the same into practice.
