Abstract		Universal declaration of human rights provides fundamental rights to all human beings: rights to liberty, dignity, privacy, choice etc. The article deals with the rights of institutionalized persons with learning disability. Volition, one of the three subsystems according to Kielhofner's Model of Human Occupation, is responsible for choosing and initiating occupational behaviour. . In the arficle stress is laid on the opportunity of choice with regard. to daily activities , which is also one of the indicators for measuring the quality of life.
