Abstract     Play is a free and creative activity incorporated in the life of every child: In occupational therapy play makes part of individual as well as group .therapy. A range of plays is intertwined here: plays on words, language, artistic expression, music experience and expression, games of skill, social plays, relaxational plays and dancing plays. We have to provide suitable conditions for the children to enable them to participate actively in the play. Improvising, flexibility and sensitiveness for the child's basic wishes and needs, in spite of a precisely written preparation for each lesson, are necessary qualities of a therapist. In this way, new experience is gained and that is what the children need most. The child is having fun, he is gaining experience through the activity and also from being aware of his body and space, he is developing his motor creativity, he understands the rules and the course of play.
