Abstract		Aim of this article is to present the different species and susceptibility of yeast isolated from blood cultures received from Maribor General Hospital in the period from 2000 to 2002. We have also tried to estimate the significance of the testing for susceptibility to antifungal drugs. In this three-years period we have isolated yeasts from blood of 35 patients. With 19 patients (54,29%) the isolated fungi was identified as the C, albicans; with 11 patients we have isolated other Candida spp. and with 9 patients yeasts from other genera were isolated. Four patients had two different species of yeast isolated from their blood.
