Abstract     In the recent years we've noticed a declining number of those who suffered from the electrocution but still we come in touch with such accidents and patients. The emergent medical care of an electrocuted victim is a specific problem because of the nature of the electrical current and also because of the specific situation. In the prehospital setting we regulary face the problem how to help the victim as soon as possible and at the same time consider all the safety measures. Electrocution can be the cause of the cardiac arrest (most often), respiratory arrest or both, burns and damages to the bones and organs. We present a case of an electrocuted victim who was found in the state of decreased conscious level with Glasgow coma scale (GCS) 7 and unefficient respiration. He was intubated with the help of the muscle relaxants, the use of which is specific in such cases.
